FRANK STIFFEL DIES DURING VISIT HERE

Frank P. Stifel of Maynard died Sunday, Sept. 4, at the home of his brother-in-law, Elmer Decker, in Madison county. He was stricken with a heart attack during his visit here.

Mr. Stifel was 77 years of age. He was a son of William and Emma Stifel. He was married to Bertha Roberts in 1943 at Blue Earth, Minn.

Surviving are five sons, Harold, Everett, Claude, John and Arthur; a daughter, Mrs. Nora Lee Stotts; 19 grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren; in addition to a brother, Al Stifel.

Mr. Stifel was a retired farmer and a member of the Christian church.

Funeral services were to be held this Wednesday at 10 a.m. from the Collins Funeral home in Winterset, conducted by the Rev. William E. Bowles, pastor of the First Christian church here. Burial was to be made in Union cemetery in this county.
