Former Resident Dies in Des Moines

Earl Bryan of Des Moines, a former Madison county resident, died Tuesday, Feb. 14, at a Des Moines hospital, following a heart attack.

Mr. Bryan was a brother of John Bryan of Winterset, and a uncle of Mrs. Robert Weldon of this community.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. this Thursday from Kale Funeral Home at Truro, with burial in Ebenezer cemetery.

Joseph Bryan Is Buried in Peru

Joseph Bryan, a former resident of Madison county, died February 14 at the Broadlawns Hospital in Des Moines. He was 59 years old.

Joseph Earl Bryan was born August 8, 1907, at Peru, Iowa, the son of Joseph L. and Clara Barnes. He received his education in the Peru schools and lived in that vicinity until moving to Des Moines 20 years ago.

He is survived by two brothers, Thomas Bryan of Des Moines and John Lewis Bryan of Winterset, Iowa; a sister, Mrs. Cathryn Doyle of Des Moines, four nephews, six nieces, four great-nieces, five great-nephews, and four aunts.

His parents preceded him in death.

The funeral was Thursday at the Kale Funeral Home in Truro. The Rev. James B. Nicholson read the service.

Interment was in the Ebenezer cemetery, Peru.
