Edith Dew, 85, died of heart failure Jan. 25, 2002, at Indianola Good Samaritan Center.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, Jan. 30, at Peterson Funeral Home in Indianola. Burial was at New Virginia cemetery.

Edith Dew was born in New Virginia. She had been a cook at Salem Manor in Indianola. Edith was a member of the Methodist Church and Elizabeth Circle. A resident of Indianola since 1973, she had previously resided in St. Charles.

She is survived by a daughter, Mary Streeter of Indianola; a step-son, Leroy Dew; a sister, Ruth Matzke; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
