DOROTHY DEBOK DIES AT 61 YEARS

Winterset Woman Had Worked At Memorial Hospital For 16 Years

Mrs. Alfred DeBok of Winterset died last Thursday, September 8 at Memorial Hospital here. She was 61 years of age. Mrs. DeBok had been employed as a nurses aid at Memorial Hospital for the last 16 years.

She was the former Dorothy Lorraine Clopton, daughter of Isaac L. and Elizabeth Acheson Clopton. She was born at Winterset May 23, 1905 and lived in this community most of her life. She was married in 1923 to Alfred DeBok who survives her.

She was a member of the Methodist Church.

In addition to her husband she leaves four daughters, Mrs. Paul McKinney of Winterset, Mrs. Viola Mapes of Slater, Mrs. Elizabeth Jordan of Winterset and Mrs. Janice Flannery of Winterset; 17 grandchildren; two brothers, Haymond Clopton of Ontario, Calif., and Gaymond Clopton of Van Meter; a sister, Mrs. Manford Flynn of Prairie Village, Kansas; and three half sisters, Mrs. Vina Baird and Mrs. Bill Woodford of Des Moines and Mrs. Ivan Deffenbaugh of Overland Park, Kansas.

Funeral services were held Saturday from the First Methodist Church of Winterset, conducted by Rev. Everett K. Burham. Burial was made in the Winterset cemetery.
