CLARA JORDAN DIED ON JUNE 4

Mrs. Forrest Jordan of Winterset died Tuesday June 4 at Clarke County Memorial hospital in Osceola. She was 79 years of age.

Mrs. Jordan had been a Madison county resident since 1938. She was the former Clara Belle Morrow, daughter of Tom and Ann Morrow and was born in Warren county January 8, 1889. She was married in Winterset on March 6, 1945 to Forrest Jordan who survives her.

She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Winterset.

In addition to her husband, she leaves five step children; Lee Jordan of Winterset, Donald Jordan of Peru, Ralph Jordan of Winterset, Mrs. Treva Patterson of Winterset and Mrs. Carol Altenbern of Dubuque and 15 step-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held last Thursday from the First United Methodist Church in Winterset conducted by the pastor, Rev. Everett K. Burham. Burial was made in Winterset cemetery.
