Services are pending from Collins Funeral Home in Winterset for Harold Travis of Winterset, who died at his home here this Tuesday morning, September 24. He was 66 years of age.

Harold Travis Died at Age 66

Funeral services were held last Thursday for Harold E. Travis, 66, of Winterset. Mr. Travis died at his home here on Tuesday, September 24.

Harold Emory Travis was born in Walnut township of Madison County on May 27, 1906 the son of Delwin and Maye Hann Travis. He was married to Dorothy V. Macumber on June 6, 1930.

Mr. Travis, a farmer and long time employee of Reed Brothers, Inc. of Winterset, was a resident of Winterset for all but six years of his life.

He was affiliated with the Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Dorothy, his step-mother, Nellie R. Travis of Macon, Missouri; and two uncles, Elwood and Warren Travis, both of Winterset. He was preceded in death by one brother and one sister.

Services were held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday September 26 at the Collins Funeral Home in Winterset with the Dr. Paul Hann officiating. Burial was in the Peru Cemetery.
