Obituary

Died, at Peru, Iowa on October 12th, 1893, Elbert H., son of Sylvester N. and Mary E. Travis, aged eighteen years, ten months and nine days. He was afflicted with nervous trouble at the age of three years, which developed into epilepsy. In January last he had an attack of influenza which left him in a helpless condition ever since. He has been almost a constant sufferer for sixteen years.

The funeral services were conducted by the Rev. W. C. Smith, then the remains were laid to rest in the Peru cemetery. Many relatives and neighbors were present to sympathize with the bereaved parents, who through all these years of affliction were never heard to murmur or complain.
