Obituary

Died—At the residence of her parents near Winterset, Iowa, June 21, 1893, Mary Eliza Barcroft, aged 25 years, 4 months and 5 days. She was born in Des Moines, where she lived till she removed with her parents to the farm just west of Winterset, which has since been the family home. Miss Barcroft was a young woman of unusually amiable disposition and bearing, a favorite with family and friends. On December 14 she became a member of the Winterset Methodist church. She always had a delicate constitution, but the sickness that terminated her life dates from the early part of January, 1893. The funeral services were held at the family residence, Friday, June 23, conducted by her pastor, Rev. F. Harris. The interment was in the Winterset cemetery, attended by a large concourse of friends and neighbors.
