DEATH CALLS TRURO CITIZENS

Two Truro Men Die Following Operations at Des Moines Hospital

The vicinity of Truro has recently had unusual sorrow in the death of two of her citizens both men in middle life and active in the affairs of that community. W. W. Atkinson of the Truro Lumber Co. died at a Des Moines hospital last Thursday following an operation for appendicitis.

A. Lyons, one of the earliest residents of that community died Monday of this week at the same hospital and under almost the same circumstances. He was operated upon for appendicitis about a week ago. Following the death Fred R. Jeffries who passed away a few weeks ago Truro has lost three of her citizens, who had an active part in the social and business affairs of that community and who will be greatly missed.
