Mr. Armstrong, who recently came here from near Des Moines, Iowa, about three months ago, died quite suddenly Saturday at his residence in the Matson property west of the lake.

Mr. Armstrong was not very strong physically, and had come to this country in search of homestead land but principally in the hope tha thte climate might benefit his health, but the disease had made too great a headway, and when he realized this he determined to return to his former home but the grim reaper came and transported him where the ills of flesh are unknown.

He was a member of the M. W. A. and a number of his brethren escorted the body to the depot, where it was put aboard the east bound train Monday and laid at rest near the old home.

We have not been able to learn all of the particulars of his life, but during his residence here he gave me the impression of being a man of good habits and unassuming manner. The sympathy of this community is extended to the bereaved wife and children.
