St. Charles and Roundabout

T. L. Bell, son of Geo. Bell, of Bevington, formerly a citizen of this place, was killed near Commerce, on the C.R.I. & P. railroad, on Saturday morning last, or at least his remains were found at that time and place. His skull was broken and other marks of violence was discernible on his person. Whether occurring by design or accident is unknown. His remains were brought to Bevington and interred in the cemetery at Blair chapel, or Brush Ridge on Monday. The deceased was comparatively a young man, was of an obliging and friendly disposition. He leaves to mourn his untimely death a wife and seven children.
