Seldon Welch Died Friday

Seldon J. Welch, a lifetime resident and farmer of Madison County, died at Madison county Memorial Hospital in Winterset last Friday, September 20. He was 82 years of age.

Mr. Welch was born in Lincoln Township on July 9, 1892, the son of John T. and Martha Kennedy Welch. He was married to Lorna I. Pace at Grant City, Missouri on December 21, 1964.

Mr. Welch is survived by his wife, Lorna, of Winterset, and by one foster daughter, Mrs. Howard (Alice) Hughes of Marshalltown. Also surviving are three grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother.

Jydstrup of Spring Park, Minnesota, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas King of Columbia, Iowa, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Young of Earlham, Iowa, Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Curlile of Manning, Iowa, Mrs. Joann Airhart and Becky Mines of Elkhart, Iowa.
