MARY ANN CAMERON DIES

Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Ann Cameron, who died at her home west of Winterset, Sunday, May 19, were held at the United Presbyterian church, Tuesday morning, May 21, at 11 o’clock. The Rev. B. F. Hamilton conducted the services and burial was made in the Winterset cemetery.

The deceased was 76 years of age. She was a daughter of Jacob and Louisa Hircock, and was born, November 2, 1858 in Huron county, Ohio. She came to Iowa with her parents in a covered wagon, when she was a little child. Her marriage to Robert O. Cameron took place October 24, 1883. They were the parents of five children, one daughter dying in infancy and one son J. Elmer Cameron, of Scranton, on September 2, 1934. The surviving children are Mrs. Helen Pilmer, Charles L. and Marion L. Cameron of Winterset.

Mrs. Cameron joined the Baptist church when a young woman, later transferring her membership to the United Presbyterian church of Winterset. In addition to her children she leaves three brothers, one sister, twelve grandchildren and one great granddaughter.
