Death of Mrs. Laura B. Dorr

The sad news came last Saturday of the death at Whatcom, Washington, on Friday, September 2d, of Mrs. Laura B. Dorr, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. W. McKnight, of this city. She was born and brought up in Winterset, and was loved and respected by a very large circle of friends, as is shown by the many praises of her estimable character expressed in connection with sorrow on account of her death. She was married to Mr. C. W. Dorr, and with her husband lived in Des Moines for several years, removing to Washington about four years ago. For some time before her death her health had been failing. Her sister, Mrs. Moore, of this place, was with her during her last illness.
