Died on March 24th, Thomas Swift of Crawford township, age about 75 years. Deceased was born in Ireland and came to Crawford township about 35 years ago. He was buried in St. Patricks cemetery on Sunday. He leaves one son and one daughter.

Crawford Township

Thomas Swift, an old settler of Madison county, living northwest of Patterson, died Thursday and was buried at the St. Patrick’s cemetery. Considering the extreme severity of the weather, (rain, hail and snow,) there was a large turnout of friends and neighbors. May he rest in peace.
