Edna Elizabeth Tomlinson was born in Champaign county, Ill., April 13, 1872, and died in Madison county, Iowa, June 22, 1892, age 20 years, 2 months and 9 days.

She was converted and joined the Methodist church when fifteen years of age. From childhood her disposition was so kind and good that her conversion made but little external change. In character and life she was Christ-like and pure. She was sick nearly three years, but her extended illness was borne with Christian sweetness and resignation.

In the home she was a loving devoted daughter and sister and in society a dower of exquisite fragrance and moral loveliness. When she realized that the time of her departure was at hand, she tenderly bade farewell to the loved ones, sending loving messages to those who were absent, requesting all her friends to meet her in heaven, manifesting a special interest in behalf of her young associates.

The funeral was preached in the Methodist church in Peru and in the cemetery near by her remains now rest.
