Services for William Frederick Groth, 70, who died Tuesday at his home north of Martensdale, will be at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Martensdale today (Thursday at 1 p.m. Interment will be in the Blair Chapel Cemetery.
A native of Germany, Mr. Groth came to the United States in 1927 and had lived in Alleman and Des Moines before moving to the Martensdale and Prole communities.
He is survived by his wife Pauline; two sons, William Groth of Des Moines and John Groth, Rt. 1, Prole; three grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Anne Ratzke and Mrs. Walter Gedde, both of East Germany and a brother, Emil Groth of West Germany.
