Funeral services were held for Eugenia Anna Hopkins at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 13, 2007 at the Kuhn Funeral Home in Earlham, Iowa. Pastor Helmuth T. Eisenbraun officiating.

Debbie Jones was the pianist. Special music was "Ray Of Hope", "I Can Only Imagine", "Amazing Grace", "How Great Is Our God" and "How Great Thou Art".

Readers were Betsy Reber, Melanie Hopkins, Molly Hopkins, and Maggie Anderson.

Pallbearers were Tim Trenkamp, Ted Trenkamp, Jason Miller, Andrew Smith, Monte Hopkins, and Preston Hopkins.

Eugenia Anna Hopkins was born October 11, 1923 at Creston, Nebraska to Frank and Eleanor Raibikis and died at Mercy Hospital in Des Moines, IA on October 9, 2007 from complications of a fall at home.

Jeanne graduated from Stuart High School (1941). She then taught country school and raised her family. She also worked at Drew's Chocolates in Dexter and later was a substitute teacher at Earlham Community School.

Jeanne married Duane Hopkins January 17, 1944. To this union seven children were born. Jeanne was best known as Mom or Grandma. She loved to dance and listen to polka music, play cards and teach her grandkids the skill of playing cards.

Survivors include her children: Carol (Hlem) Eisenbraun of Kansas City, MO, Nancy (Malcolm) Miller, Ames, IA, Ed (Joni) Hopkins, Chris (Kathy) Hopkins and John (Theresa) Hopkins, all from Earlham, IA; 19 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, and her sister, Alene Pieper of Stuart, IA.

She was preceded in death by her husband Duane, two daughters, Connie Trenkamp and Kaye Hopkins, two brothers, Frank and Leonard Raibikis and her parents.

Interment was held at the Oakdale Cemetery in Adel, Iowa. Kuhn Funeral Homes was in charge of arrangements.
