MRS. E. L. WILSON Dies at 66 Years

Mrs. Eldon L. Wilson of Winterset died last Wednesday, Aug. 26, 1964, at Memorial hospital here. She was 66 years of age.

Mrs. Wilson had been a resident of Winterset for 44 years.

She was born at Lorimor, in Union county, on Oct. 18, 1897. She was the former Carita Mae Neely, daughter of Pinckney E. and Sarah (Routh) Neely.

As a young woman she served as a teacher in the rural schools of Madison and Union counties. She was married Nov. 2, 1920, to Eldon L. Wilson of Winterset, who survives her.

She was a member of the First Methodist church of Winterset where she was a life member of the Woman's Society of Christian Service. For many years she served in the childrens department there.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. Wilson leaves two daughters, Mrs. George Whinghter of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Mrs. R. W. Jamison of Bettendorf; three sons, Marvin N. Wilson of Winterset, Richard C. Wilson of Iowa City and Arnold E. Wilson of Rome, N.Y.; 15 grandchildren; two brothers, Frank Neely of Reno, Nev., and Ferol Neely of Alden; and five sisters, Florence Neely of Winterset, Mrs. Vera Stevens of Bellflower, Calif., Mrs. Clark Watkins of Grinnell, Mrs. Gertrude Smith of Lorimor and Mrs Charles Gardner of Mingo.

Funeral services were held Saturday from the First Methodist church of Winterset, in charge of the Rev. William E. Bowles, pastor of the First Christian church here. Burial was made in the Winterset cemetery.
