MRS. DELLA LONG BURIED AT VAN METER

Resident of Madison County Since 1916 Died on Oct. 23

Mrs. Della A. Long, a resident of Madison county since 1916, died in Winterset Wednesday of last week at the age of 79 years. Had she lived two more weeks she would have been 80 years of age.

Mrs. Long was born in Pennsylvania on Nov. 7, 1886, the daughter of Ruben and Raechel Buel. With her parents she came to Guthrie county in this state in 1875.

She was married Jacob Long on Nov. 10, 1880 and they came to Madison county in 1916. Her husband died in 1940.

Only surviving near relatives are two sisters, Mrs. Lena Dunn and Mrs. Fena Hooper of Winterset.

Funeral services were held last Friday from the Ramsey-Richards funeral home, in charge of the Rev. G. L. Hufstader, pastor of the Winterset Methodist church. Burial was made in the cemetery at Van Meter.
