PAULINE HODGES, 22, CALLED BY DEATH

Young Woman Had Lived in Ord Community Past Two Years

Miss Pauline Louise Hodges, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Hodges of Lincoln township, died last Saturday at the home of her parents two miles south of the Ord church. The young woman was 22 years of age.

Miss Hodges had been a resident of this community for the past two years, coming here with her parents from Redfield. She was born in Dallas county on Oct. 7, 1917. When she was 4 years old, she contracted scarlet fever, from which she recovered by which left her with a weak heart.

The young woman is survived by her parents and by six brothers and six sisters.

Funeral services were held from the Ord church Monday, in charge of the Rev. J. R. McNichols, pastor of the Winterset Methodist church. Burial was made at Redfield.
