W. T. Cason, a former merchant of this city, who resided 10 miles south of Macon, Mo., was recently stricken with apparent fatal illness, his son Jas. A., of Patterson and his daughter, Mrs. Jas. A. Way, of Winterset, hastened to his side. Because of seeming temporary relief, they started on Saturday to return home, but at Macon were overtaken by a telegram calling his son back because of the much worse condition of the former. W. H. Cason of St. Charles, the younger son started at once and both boys will await the termination of the case.
