Obituary

Died, January 20th, 1892, at her home in Jefferson township, Madison county, Iowa, Mrs. Betsy Ann Wright, wife of Almon Wright, aged seventy-two years, eight months and seventeen days.

She had been a patient sufferer for many years, and was in desperate health when attacked by la grippe and fell an easy victim to that dread disease. She had lived a consistent Christian life for over fity years and died with the blessed assurance of her acceptance with God and a bright home beyond.

January 19th was the 50th anniversary of their wedding, and arrangements had been made to celebrate their golden wedding by a joyous reunion of relatives and friends, but God had willed it otherwise and instead of joy these were sad hearts awaiting the coming of the death angel.

Grandpa Wright is seventy-eight years old, not very strong, and will cross over and meet her in that home whose sorrow, pain or death can never come.

Note: Burial was made in the Union Chapel Jefferson township cemetery.
