Penn Points

The death of Dave Lenocker occurred Tuesday, January 26, 1892. He had been gradually sinking for a long time. His brother and sister had come to see him and say the last farewell, and yet death will seem unexpected and sudden. At Penn Center his funeral was conducted by Rev. Dr. Shearer, assisted by Rev. Stevenson, and he was buried by his brothers of the I.O.O.F. as he requested. We think a larger concourse of people never gathered at Penn Center on a like occasion. It was said of him, “Probably a man never lived who was thought better of by neighbors, friends, everybody.” He leaves an aged mother, brothers and sisters to follow him. Penn has lost one of her best citizens.

Note: Burial was made in the Penn Center cemetery.
