FUNERAL MONDAY FOR MYRTLE HINDMAN

Funeral services for Myrtle A. Hindman, 79, were held Monday afternoon from the Oak Grove E.U.B. church in Webster township.

Mrs. Hindman died April 7 at the Denison, Iowa hospital. She had been a resident of nearby Defiance, Ia. since 1954.

The daughter of Malinda Cox and William P. Rogers, she was born at Red Oak, Iowa on Aug. 26, 1878. After graduation from the Creston high school, she was married to Stanley Hindman of the Webster community in this county.

She and her husband were residents of Webster township all their married lives, prior to 1954.

Mrs. Hindman was an active member of the Oak Grove church for many years.

Surviving are three children; Mrs. Lela Hulsebus of Buck Grove, Ia., Mrs. Ilo Terry of Springbrook, Wisc., and the Rev. Ralph Hindman of Griswold, Iowa; one brother, W. B. Rogers of Winterset; eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one son, Clair, who died in infancy and by her husband who died last years.

Officiating at the services Monday afternoon were the Rev. R. O. Dragoo of Defiance and the Rev. Wesley Lowery of Winterset. Burial was in the Wight cemetery.
