Death of WALTER KIRBY

Walter Kirby died of flu-pneumonia on Jan. 9th, 1919, at his home in Portland, Ore., after eight days' illness.

He had been in an automobile accident in October, when his arm was broken in five places, so his physical condition was not of the best when influenza attacked him. His wife and four year old son were very sick at the time of his death.

He was the youngest son of George & Chastine (Dail) Kirby. His only sister, Mrs. Eva Jacobs, and a brother, William, being with him at the end

Besides his mother, his brothers, Herman and J. H. Kirby of Winterset, survive him.
