After a lingering and painful illness of a number of weeks, Mr. M. D. Haynes died at his home two miles north of Hanley last Thursday morning. Funeral on Friday. Interment in Blair Chapel cemetery. Deceased was an excellent citizen, honest, industrious and obliging and was taken from his family at a time in life when his care, attention and presence is most needed by them. Besides his widowed wife he leaves seven orphaned children all quite young. He was a victim of Bright's disease and had been on a decline for many months. His parents and a number of brothers and sisters live in South township.
