Page 6A Sorrowful Death
Chester Hicks, son of Mr. and Mrs. B. J. Hicks, who live just south of Dexter, met with an accidental death Wednesday forenoon that makes the occurrence an exceedingly sad one. He was in the field plowing and it was noticed his team remained in one place for a long time and his father fearing something was wrong went to the field and found that his son was dead. One eye was out of the socket and temple crushed and swollen which indicated he had met death by violence and no doubt was caused by a kick of one of the horses. He had probably been dead some little time when found.
Chester was a quiet, unassuming young man and much respected by those who formed his acquaintance. The family have the deepest sympathy that human hearts can give.---Dexter Sentinel.
