Mrs. Jane Archer

Mrs. Jane McDonald Archer was born at Fort Wayne, Indiana, September 18, 1852, and died at her home in Truro, July 11, 1935, aged 82 years, 10 months and 23 days. In early childhood she with her parents came to Iowa City, Iowa. In 1870 they moved to Dixon county, Nebraska. Soon after this she was united in marriage to George Scholes. They moved to Truro in 1908. Mr. Scholes died in 1910.

On February 18, 1914, she was married to O. N. Archer, who died April 18, 1926. In early life she united with the Presbyterian church. Later she transfertd (transferred) her membership to the Truro M. E. church, where she kept the interests of the church in mind and was ever a helpful member. She was a patient sufferer and passed peacefully to her reward after several months of lingering illness.

Funeral services were held from the M. E. church Saturday at 2 o’clock, conducted by Rev. Moore, assisted by Rev. Rector, with interment at the Young cemetery.
