Obituary

Mrs. Jennie Bowers, wife of Lewis C. Bowers, was born in Madison county, Iowa, July the 2d, 1867, and died Nov. the 8th, 1890. She was married to her now bereaved husband, Jan. the 1st, 1888. This union was blessed with one little daughter which died on Aug. the 25th, at the age of three months.

The deceased joined the M. E. church at the age of ten years and lived a consistent Christian until God saw best to call her home. And her last words were: “Jesus is with me.” She talked freely of her future home, exorting her companions and friends to meet her in heaven.

Note: Burial was made in the Fairview cemetery.
