Death May 13 Of Russell Little

A lifetime resident of Madison County, Russell Guy Little, 79, died Thursday, May 13, 1976, at Veterans Hospital in Des Moines. He was a veteran of World War One.

Born April 28, 1897, in Madison County, Russell Little was the son of Thomas W. Little and Sarah Francis Allen Little. His marriage to Phoebe Esther Sweet took place in Madison County December 20, 1919.

A farmer, Mr. Little also worked in local rock quarries until his retirement.

Survivors include two sons, Grover Guy Little and Russell Jr. and a daughter June Pickering, all of Winterset, six grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

Also surviving is a brother, Virgil Little and a sister, Opal Cramlet.

Mr. Little was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Phoebe, two brothers, Clarence and Laurel, and one sister, Inez Darnell.

Funeral services for Russell Little were conducted Monday, May 17, 1976, at 1:30 p.m. from Collins Funeral Home, Rev. E. E. Jandebeur officiating. Wight Cemetery in Madison County was the place of burial.
