DOROTHY DRISCOLL, Winterset

Dorothy M. Driscoll, 85, of Winterset died Dec. 7, 2007, at West Bridge Care & Rehabilitation in Winterset.

Funeral services were held Monday, Dec. 10, at Collins Oak Park Chapel in Winterset with the Rev. Dr. John Shaull and Pastor Mike Carlson officiating. Burial was at Winterset Cemetery.

Dorothy Driscoll was born Nov. 21, 1922, in Winterset to Charles and Bertha (Williams) Mitchell and was a graduate of Murray High School and Drake University. Her first marriage was to Charles O. White. Following his death, she later married Charles Carl Driscoll on June 20, 1974, in Fort Dodge. Dorothy a longtime resident of Winterset, was an elementary and rural school teacher for 42 years - teaching in Madison, Union and Dallas counties.

She was preceded in death by both husbands, Charles C. Driscoll and Charles O. White; five brothers, John Mitchell, Eldon Mitchell, Dale Mitchell, Ed Mitchell and Charles E. Mitchell; and a sister, Margaret Binns.

She is survived by her nieces and nephews.
