Thelma O. Helms, 94, of Anderson, Mo., died Dec. 3, 2007, at the Golden Living Center in Anderson.
Funeral services were held Friday, Dec. 7, at Kale Funeral Home in Truro. Burial was at Hartman Cemetery, Truro.
Thelma Helms was born July 20, 1913, in Ethan, S.D., to Ernest and Mable (Little) Torbet. Her marriage to Harry Helms took place in 1931 in Perry. They later moved to Truro where they owned and operated the Truro Cafe. Thelma also was a cook at the high school cafeteria in Truro. In the early 1980s, she moved to Rogers, Ark., then later to Anderson, Mo.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry, and a brother, Donald Torbet of Perry.
She is survived by one daughter, Nadine Brown of Anderson, Mo.; a brother, Kenneth Torbet of Marble Hill, Mo.; and seven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.

Formerly of TruroFuneral services for Thelma Helms, 94, will be 11 a.m. Friday at Kale Funeral Home in Truro. Visitation will be one hour prior to services. Interment will follow at Hartman Cemetery.
