Mabel Baker, who was a long time sufferer with that dread disease, consumption, entered into rest, on the 16th. Though young in years, she was ripe in Christian faith, and left a delightful evidence that she had only preceded her friends to the land where partings come no more. In less than two years death has visited Mother Baker’s household four times, taking two sons and two daughters. The family in their bereavement have the sympathy and prayers of many friends. Rev. Patterson preached the funeral sermon, assisted by Rev. Preston, of the Winterset circuit.
