Death of Ralph Letz

Ralph Letz, a well known resident of Madison county, died last Thursday, July 21st, at his home, near Patterson. He was 51 years of age.

The deceased came to Madison County in 1903 and located in the Beerbower neighborhood. It was there that he received injuries from a wood-saw in 1910. He never recovered, and during the past two years, has had periods of intense pain and suffering. Several years ago, the family moved to their farm south of Patterson, where they have since resided.

Mr. Letz leaves to mourn his death, his mother, Mrs. Jane Letz of Greenfield, his wife and three daughters, Hazel, Hertha and Helen of Patterson, one sister, Mrs. William Hamilton of Greenfield, two brothers, W. W. of Onawa and R. E. of Winterset.

Funeral services were conducted Saturday July 23rd at the Methodist church in Patterson, by Rev. Frank E. Moore. Burial was made in the McGinnis cemetery.
