Charlie Curtis Campbell, veteran farmer, whose home was two miles north of Winterset, died at the Winterset hospital on Saturday November 17. A heart ailment, complicated by an attack of pneumonia proved fatal. He was 67 years old.
Mr. Campbell was born in Augusta county, Virginia, on October 19, 1867, the son of Silas H. and Mary Catherine Campbell. In 1877 he came with his parents to Madison county and here he has since made his home. He married Miss Minta Banks.
He is survived by his wife, a son, Robert, at home; four brothers, Clem Campbell of Wallace, Idaho and B. N. Campbell, T. J. Campbell and R. L. Campbell, all of Winterset, besides a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services were conducted Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. from Ramsey-Richards funeral home. The Rev. Fred Madson of the Baptist church was in charge. Burial was in the Winterset cemetery.
