County and City

The Arlington, Kans., Enterprise tells of the death of a young lady, well known to many persons in Madison county, especially those engaged in the school work. That paper says, Miss Sally McCauley, an accomplished lady well known in our society here, and who for some period of time taught the Langdon school, died last Monday evening, October 7, at the residence of her cousins, Mr. and Mrs. D. Masteller; the cause of her death was malarial fever. Her home was near Dexter, Dallas county, Iowa. Her father arrived on the train Tuesday night and left Wednesday morning with the remains. A sad ending to what promised a pleasant visit a month or more ago.

Note: Burial was made in the Dexter cemetery.
