Clyde Ruby died in Stockton, Kansas, on the 19th of July last, at the residence of his father, John Ruby, that day being his 17th birthday.

When near the close of life his mother asked him if he thought he was going to leave them soon. He answered, “Yes.” Then she asked him if he was willing to go. He said, yes; he wanted to go and see Jesus, and requested them to meet him in heaven.

Their many friends who knew the family when they resided here will sympathize with them in their bereavement.

Clyde Ruby, youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. John Ruby, was born near Winterset, Iowa, July 19th 1872, and died in Stockton, Kansas, July 20th 1889.

Clyde remembered his “Creator in the days of his youth.” He joined the children’s class in the M. E. church at the age of seven years, and was received into full membership after he came to Kansas. He left a bright testimony behind him, for all of his young friends and associates. He expressed a willingness to go and be with Christ his Savior. He bade an affectionate farewell to the family and friends, and strongly urged his brothers and sisters to meet him in heaven.

The funeral services were conducted by his pastor A. B. Conwell, in the M. E. church on July 20th.
