GEORGE KITT

George Kitt, 79, a farmer living near Patterson many years, died June 12, 1930, after several months illness. The family moved to Winterset last March on account of his ill health and his death occurred here.

Mr. Kitt was born in Ipava, Illinois, February 15, 1851. When a small boy his family came to Iowa where he spent the remainder of his life. He was married October 27, 1878 at Earlham to Emma Ellen Loudenback. His widow and nine of their children survive, J. F. Kitt, of Sterling, Colorado; Gaylord Kitt, of Patterson; Mrs. Bertha McKirgan, of Indianola; Mrs. Stella M. Wolverton,of Conrad, Montana; Mrs. Golda Mae Klein and Reubes Kitt, of Des Moines; Ray Kitt, of St. Charles; Guy Kitt and Mrs. Daisy Hann of Winterset. Another son, Raleigh Kitt, died July 24, 1928.

The Rev. A. P. Keast, pastor of the Winterset Methodist church conducted the funeral services Friday in the Patterson church; burial was in the Winterset cemetery.
