JERRY WILSON BEEM, Edmonds, Washington

Jerry was born Oct. 12, 1938, in Winterset, Iowa, to Everett and Cora Beem. He passed away peacefully on Nov. 15, 2007, at Stevens Hospital in Edmonds, Wash. He is survived by his loving wife, Marilyn; daughter and son-in-law, Wendy and Wayne Rancourt; and grandsons, Gregory and Stephen.

After graduation from Winterset High School, Jerry served in the United States Air Force. He worked for 30 years as a police officer, the majority with the Seattle Police Department.

Jerry lived life to the fullest. His passions were motorcycling and traveling. He was always looking forward to the next time that he could be “on the road again.” In 1975, he founded the WAI Chapter of Blue Knights, an international law enforcement motorcycle club. The following year, he was a co-founder of the BK West Coast Conference. He traveled throughout the entire continental United States and many Canadian provinces on his motorcycle.

A Celebration of Life honoring Jerry will be held Friday, Dec. 7, at 1 p.m. at the Nile Golf and Country Club, 6601 - 244th St., SW, in Mountlake Terrace, Wash. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to your favorite charity
