Darlene Maxine Greer-Cox, 83, died Nov. 13, 2007, at Winterset Care Center North.
Services were held Friday, Nov. 16, at McCalley Funeral Home in Adel. Burial was at Van Meter Cemetery.
Darlene Greer-Cox was born April 20, 1924, in Boone to Glen and Myrtle Stoneburner. On April 29, 1942, she married Jack Greer. Following the passing of Jack in 1970, she later married Vern Cox in 1973. Darlene retired from Emco Manufacturing in Des Moines following 17 years of service.
Besides both husbands, she was preceded in death by three brothers, a sister, and one daughter.
She is survived by two sons, Mike Greer and Ray Greer; one daughter, Janice Awe; four sisters, Norjean Lee, Beverly Norlin, Patricia Appleton, and Delores Lee; two brothers, Robert Stoneburner and Keith Stoneburner; and nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
