COLOMOR STORRS Is Buried Here

Colomor Storrs, a resident of Madison county and Winterset for most of his life, died Wednesday, Nov. 5, 1947, at a Davenport hospital. He was 54 years of age.

Mr. Storrs was born on the farm of his parents, Eugene and Margaret Storrs, two miles north of Winterset, on March 29, 1893. As a young man he moved into Winterset, and here most of his life was spent following the mechanics' trade.

Just prior to the recent war he moved to Ankeny, and from there went to Hanford, Wash., where he lived for 18 months. For the last six months his home had been at Bettendorf, near Davenport.

Surviving are his wife, who was the former Mary Smith of Winterset; three daughters, Mrs. Margaret Williams of Rock Island, Ill., Mrs. Wilma Johnson of Des Moines, and Mrs. Dorothy Giovingo of Bettendorf. Their only son, Wayne, died a few years ago. He also leaves a sister, Mrs. Fred Cope of Des Moines, and three brothers, Roy Storrs of Creston, Halden Storrs of Winterset, and Beattie Storrs of Des Moines.

Funeral services were held here last Saturday from the Anderson home for funerals, in charge of the Rev. Wilbur Watkins, pastor of the Winterset Church of Christ. Burial was made in the Winterset cemetery.
