A child of Mr. and Mrs. Newton McDowell, of Des Moines, died at that place last Sunday. The remains were brought here and buried Tuesday.

Note: Cemetery records indicate D. E. McDowell died January 22, 1888, aged 1y and is buried in the Winterset cemetery.
