KATHRYN SPROUSE, Winterset

Kathryn Sprouse, 70, of Winterset died Nov. 1, 2007, at Mercy Hospice in Johnston following a lengthy illness.

Funeral services were held Saturday, Nov. 3, at the Peru United Methodist Church. Burial was at the Peru Cemetery.

Kathryn Sprouse was born Jan. 22, 1937, to Rufus and Mary Bell (Warren) Baker of Barney. She attended school in Peru and worked 27 years at Meredith Printing in Des Moines.

She was preceded in death by a grandson, Brandon Patterson, and an infant granddaughter, Nicole Patterson.

She is survived by her children, Ken Patterson of Urbandale, Dan Patterson and Penny Patterson, both of Winterset, and Terri Halsted of Des Moines; and eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be directed to Mercy Hospice, Johnston.

Funeral arrangements were handled by Ochiltree Funeral Service & Aftercare in Winterset.
