DIED--of inflammatory rheumatism in the city of Omaha, Neb., July 30th, 1887, Reuben J. True, son of Solomon True, of Douglas township.
The subject of this notice was born in the state of Ohio, in the month of January, 1853. It took the brief period of but five days to cut down the strong man in the prime of life. He was a single man but he leaves parents and relatives and a large circle of friends to mourn his sudden and unexpected death.
The railroad train was met at Earlham by his relatives and neighbors and in sadness and solemn silence they followed his remains to the cemetery at Winterset and in the twilight of the setting sun on Sunday, the 31st day of July, 1887, they committed to its kindred dust all that is mortal of Reuben J. True, in full faith of that promise, "All that are in their graves come forth." This sudden and unexpected bereavement should be a warning to all to heed the admonition of Christ, "Be ye also ready."
The parents and relatives wish to thank the many friends and neighbors for their kindness and assistance in their bereavement.
