Mrs. Ethel Buttrey, wife of M. R. Buttrey, Winterset real estate man died at her home here Tuesday morning. She was 58 years old.
A brief service was to be held here today (Thursday) at 10 a.m. after which the body was to be taken to Hartfield, Iowa, where the church services were to be held at 1 p.m. Burial will be made at Hartford.

Gertrude Farver, daughter of Lafayette and Susan Farver, was born February 4, 1878, in Delaware county, Ohio, and passed away at her home in Winterset on January 2, 1934, of heart failure, aged 58 years, 10 months and 28 days.
On February 4, 1895 she was united in marriage to M. R. Buttrey. The family moved to Iowa in 1895 and have lived in the state almost continuously since.
In early girlhood she united with the Church of Christ. Her membership is in the Knoxville, Iowa, Church of Christ. She was active in the work of the church as long as her health would permit.
Those who mourn her going are: the husband, M. R. Buttrey and four children, Clyde C. Buttrey, Knoxville, Mrs. Charles Ford, Knoxville, Harry Buttrey, Patterson, and Ethel of Winterset, four brothers, five sisters and four grandchildren. One brother, Elmer Farver, has made his home with his sister for many years.
Funeral services were conducted by Rev. H. L. Olmstead, at 1:00 in Hartford, Iowa.
