OBITUARY

Intelligence has been reached of the death of Miss Jennie Evans, daughter of Harrison Evans, formerly of Winterset.

Mr. Evans removed to Kansas a few years since, and Miss Jennie's death occured at their home July 4th, after a few days sickness. Jennie was a faithful, earnest working Christian; her life was one of quiet devotion to the work that lay nearest her hand. The last tribute of her lonely father, whose happiness she was devoted, was: "She was a noble Christian, and a lovely daughter."

She has gone from her work in the prime of usefulness, and God's love only can bring a blessing to the crushed lives that must move on without her presence.
