Death of MRS. MARY HOCKERSMITH

Fuenral services were held this morning at Ramsey's undertaking parlors, over the remains of Mrs. J. S. Hockersmith of Des Moines, whose death took place on Monday, June 7, 1920. She had been a great sufferer for many years and the end came as a relief to pain.

Mrs. Hocerksmith was a sister of Mrs. James L. Greer and daughter of Mrs. Mary Smith, who lies in a serious condition at her home in Winterset.

Mary E. Smith was born in Ohio in 1860, and at the age of ten years moved to Kansas with her parents. In 1876, the family came to Winterset. She married J. S. Hockersmith of Des Moines in 1892. He survives her, as does her only sister, Mrs. Greer and her mother.

Rev. Jackson Giddens conducted the funeral ceremonies, assisted by E. R. Zeller.

Note: Burial was in the Winterset cemetery.
