JENNY MOREY-CONNETT, DES MOINES

Jenny Morey-Connett, 63, of Des Moines died Oct. 15, 2007, at her home.

Graveside services were held Friday, Oct. 19, at Moon Cemetery in rural Macksburg.

Jenny Morey-Connett was born Nov. 14, 1943, in Winterset to Cloyd and Edna (Baker) Morey and was a 1962 graduate of Orient-Macksburg High School. Jenny worked 20 years in hospice home care as a CNA for Mercy Capital. On Sept. 23, 1992, she was united in marriage to George Connett. She was a member of Eastern Star of Des Moines.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her paternal grandparents, Francis and Nina Morey; and maternal grandparents, Rufus and Mary (Warren) Baker.

She is survived by her husband, George, of Des Moines; one son, Richard McNelly of Des Moines; one daughter, Shawn O’Toole of Audubon; a stepson, Ernie Connett of Portland, Ore.; a sister, Sandy Thompson of Winterset; a brother, Cloyd Morey Jr. of Clarinda; and five grandchildren.

Memorials may be directed to the family. Arrangements were handled by Ochiltree Funeral Service & Aftercare in Winterset.
