From the Western, Neb. WAVE we learn of the death of Mr. Martin M. Jones, formerly of this county. He was born in Illinois in 1844, and removed to Madison county in 1866. In December, 1867, he married Miss Phoebe J. Queen. In 1880 he removed with his family to Nebraska. His last sickness began August 17th, his death occurring three days later.
The deceased was a son of Mrs. Jones, of this city. Mrs. Jones' mother, Mrs. Martha Queen, and two brothers, John and Thomas Queen, all of Madison county, Iowa, arrived Saturday night and were in attendance at the performance of the last sad rites.
